Book Writing Goal

I have a goal of taking the best 365 of the approximately 2500 blogs I have written in the last seven years and putting them together in a devotional book. I need some volunteers who would like to read through my blogs and pick out the best ones. When we get the best ones picked out, I will need some people to volunteer to proofread them and correct all the spelling and grammar errors and condense them a bit to a max of 300 words. I could do it all myself but I probably wouldn’t ever finish it, but with some helpers, it should be an accomplishable goal and even fun.

One of my major pastoring principles over the last 45 years has been “whatever you do, if possible, do it together with others, because it is easier, more fun, and it turns out better.”

Pastor Dee: Oops! Excuse my oversight regarding the years you have written blogs!!!
Change my request to the three earliest years. The rest of the message is correct.

I would enjoy helping with the selection of blogs to include in your first book, then do the grammar and spelling corrections on the favorites, say a couple of years’ worth.

We attended JBC from 1999 to 2013. I’d like to be assigned 1999 to 2001. That way we won’t be tripping over other folks’ toes and duplicating work. If this task goes well, I may ask to review your blogs for a few more years.

You remain my favorite pastor though we moved from Oregon eight years ago. I can’t get enough of your wisdom, conviction, and down-home humor.

      Best to you and Patty.

I would be honored to help with your book. I’ve saved many of your blogs over the years & have read it for years.

I’ve attended your church many times & have met you twice I think.

I can send you a list of the saved blogs that have meant a lot to me, however you’d like me to help, let me know.

Super! So just start reading old ones wherever you want for as much as you want and rate each one you read with a 1, 2, or 3. 1 being good and 3 being not so good. Record title and date with ranking on an email to me whenever you get a dozen or more done. Thank you very much for helping me😀
