Why I Support President Trump – the long answer.

In 1963 the Supreme Court banned prayer in public schools, and they have made a host of other decisions since then such as banning Bibles from being read in schools, prayer at football games etc. In 1973 the Supreme Court in a decision called Roe vs Wade legalized abortion so that about 600,000 babies are killed every year. The United States of America has moved a long way from where it was when it began as a Nation as “One Nation Under God”. Most of that movement has happened by means of the decisions of a Supreme Court that is liberal in their interpretation of the Constitution written by our founding fathers. In 1987 Presiden Reagan tried to move the court in a conservative direction by appointing Robert Bork to the Supreme Court, but an unprecidented attack on the character of Bork took place led by Ted Kennedy and fueled by millions of dollars donated by those who wanted to keep the Court liberal. That first of a kind response has warped the nomination process ever since. When President Trump appointed Brett Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court, what followed was amazingly crazy as liberal politicians feared that Roe vs Wade might possibly be overturned, and they would stop at nothing to prevent his nomination. Those same politicians know that if President Trump is re-elected in November that the possibility of him appointing another Supreme Court Justice is very high, and equally high is the probability that the Justice that he appoints will be Conservative and probably very conservative. These same politicians along with the main stream liberal media will do anything to try and keep Donald Trump from being elected. Years of decisions by a liberal Supreme Court have turned our nation totally away from being a nation under God, and their greatest fear is that a Conservative Supreme Court would undo all those decisions.

I am the first to admit that President Trump wouldn’t qualify to Pastor Jefferson Baptist Church, he has been married three times, he has not been particularly Christian in his lifestyle or his view, though his Christian views seem to be getting stronger, he is often vulgar and is carrying some very unsavory sexual baggage. He is prideful and talks to people he doesn’t like in a way that is rude and mean spirited. But in spite of all that I believe that he is the best chance that we have to move us back towards God.

I have been praying for 50 years for our nation to turn back to God, and to follow His principles. I like many other followers of Jesus have made 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 a daily prayer, “ if I send pestilence among My people, and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

I believe that the sin of abortion has brought great judgment on our nation from God and more will follow if the United States continues it’s present journey away from God to godless Marxism. In spite of his baggage I believe that President Trump is our best hope of turning our Supreme Court and our nation in a godly direction so I will support Him and defend Him.

I completely agree Dee. I also just read that President Trump has a group of people working on getting prayer allowed back in our schools! Hope he is successful.
