Today was a good day. Monday, I usually take Monday off from ministry and go fishing, work on a car, work on a project, or work on the house. Today I worked on putting a new roof on my shop and an addition on the back of my shop for a place to work on my new car project, a 1969 Ford Mustang. My oldest grandson, Josiah came out and worked with me all day, and will tomorrow as well so we can get all the roofing done before the big rainstorm comes on Thursday.
Very few things disappoint me or impress me about people as much as the obvious lack of or strength of the character trait of diligence, their work ethic.
Proverbs 14:23 In all labor there is profit, But mere talk leads only to poverty.
Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men,
Working with my grandson Josiah today was a real joy, not only because he worked hard, but also because he is my grandson I hope and pray for him everyday that he will become a champion for the Lord, and diligence is a key character trait of every champion of Jesus.
