Successful People part 4

Now this was a successful hunt in Alaska with my son-in-law several years ago. Though I use the word success to describe this event the emphasis in this blog is that success is something much more permanent and meaningful. It is growing in character, growing in intimacy with Jesus, accomplishing something that really matters, and finishing well.
In order to be a truly successful person there are principles that must be true in our life. Principle #1 is “To be a successful person you must be a strong person”. Principle #2 is “Success is impossible without the blessing of God in our life”.
Principle #3 is “God’s blessing are not arbitrary or random, they are conditional and the most significant condition established by God to be blessed by Him is to honor Him by honoring His Word, the Bible”.
Psalm 1:2–3  But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.

Joshua 1:8  “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.

I read, study, and memorize the Bible everyday as a discipline of my life. I use the word discipline because if I don’t work at making the Word of God a key part of my life it just slips away pushed out by the business of life. As a result slowly but surely my character is changing , my relationship with the God of the universe is becoming more real and intimate, I see things that need to be done and I am strengthened by God to do them, and I am enduring through the good times and the bad.
