Bronko’s Won Super Bowl

Most of the experts picked the Panther’s to win, and my guess was they would, but I was rooting for the old man. I am kind of partial to old men. Football is fairly unpredictable in the final outcome because of so many little things that can happen like fumbles, missed field goals, interceptions, bad punts, etc and the best team can do them. Football is a lot like life. You fight and struggle, work together with your team, try to do everything right, and things go wrong, often. With football it is over until next year, but with life every day is a new game. The person who perseveres and endures to the end wins the crown of life that Jesus gives. I will go to bed tonight and let out a big sigh very glad for the chance to rest, and anticipate another unpredictable day coming up but confident because of God’s protection, guidance, strength, wisdom, and the team I am part of, I will win. A major element in my life is the team I play on. My wife, Patty, my family, my friends and my church family. The Bible makes it clear that by ourselves we will lose. We were not created by God capable of winning without being on a good team. The church is the “Body of Christ”, the “Bride of Christ”, the “Family of God”. Every person ought to be a functioning part of a church family if they want to win. That is the way God made it, and He is in charge.

Amen! And our house was rooting for the nice old guy as well. 🙂 Google says he made $15 million this past year, so he’s getting a decent reward for his efforts.

Glad to read this. I like many of your messages. I was going to let it go, i felt compelled to share. I was a little concerned, I heard a recent message on Klove radio, friday at 6am (2/12/16). Let me explain my Concern and question this way regarding many messages i hear acrossed this blessed country. Say there’s 2 guys. 1 man perseveres as a adult with integrity, values, he stand for whats right, has a structured life. The other guy is a luke warm, flatterer who to keep peace; cowards, lies, tells itching ears what they want to hear, gets blown around by every new wind, leaves problems for others to deal with. Which one represents more a biblical man of God?
I kinda understand maybe each of us a little cotton candy addition, for the so many sensitive who refuse to get off the symbolic milk. i dont believe Jesus or Paul were flatterering “peace keepers”. Im sure they tried to be nice, but they didnt mince words. Please dont take it personal, especially if I just misunderstood. Im using the overall message i hear with many churches. What ive been shown, the bible seems to warn less about “legalism” when speaking about our time and warns more about lawlessness & growing hard hearted issues from that. Including the Bible warns churches will tell itching ears what they want to hear. So why are churches & seminaries teaching the opposite of what we are warned of. Many almost help hide Gods values. I notice So many make the bible almost symbolically grey. meaning if you are like Mr Rogers your saved, ignore the rest.  While to me most of the bible is more black and white, more cut & dry then grey, or luke warm.
Our society, i imagine would seem passive almost feminine compared to a B.C Israel. More woman today already have to or try to do too much, Im a little concerned on teaching more passiveness especially of Men. I cant blame male passiveness all on men from experience i was allowed to go through. Many (dads & moms) raise boys to stay boys. Society gives all control to ladies (if they choose) via using police, courts or even the church as swords instead of shields. For instance if you dont agree or argue back they can accuse of abuse & everybody believes it. Statistics show males obviously in crime commit 80%. We dont hear what the stats show for divorce that females file 80%, who then recieve kids full time 80% of the time. Its very tough having children used against a dad then raised undisciplined with a feminine entitlement issue.
I believe to be a Christian man we should pick our battles and try not to overburden our self or others. But We cant back off too much if its causing us to sacrifice our own values or the bibles values & messages. I also am curious on somes views of “slander”. To me slander is made up accusations, that said i believe we should use the “cautionary tails” around us to warn. Paul warned of jannes jambres and churches, we can use our own mistakes, the bible itself uses many people (old & new)even heros failures.
Lastly it seems more like the biblical “peace keepers” are closer to the police & soldiers than a flatterrer who sweeps issues under “the rug” for later or for others to deal with. I share as a brother please Take care.
